Helping our Neighbors
Once again, hurricanes have plunged our neighbors to the south into crisis. The recent storms have left people across the Caribbean in great need.
In cooperation with the City of Miami and other community partners, MDC is participating in a community-wide effort to bring relief to the Caribbean nations hit by the storms, including Haiti and Cuba. Beginning on Monday, Sept. 15, through Friday, Sept. 19, MDC will collect nonperishable food, baby supplies and new or used clothing in good condition at the drop-off points listed below. Food items may include powdered milk, peanut butter and canned goods.
Please be sure to deliver contributions before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19.
If you would like to make a financial contribution, you may visit the online donation sites for The Red Cross and the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami.
We have been quite fortunate so far during this hurricane season. Let's help those who have not fared nearly as well.
