Remembering Martin Luther King

It was 45 years ago today that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous address to civil rights campaigners at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. "I Have a Dream"  electrified the nation, inspiring generations of Americans to hope for more and to reach their desired goals.

We are proud to work and study at the most diverse institution of higher education in America, where equal opportunity is a genuine reality. That each of our students, regardless of race or culture, continues to dream, and that MDC remains a place where those dreams take flight, is a lasting testament to Dr. King. Today is a day to remember that we live in a time of immense possibility, possibility that can be real for each person.

Thank you.

Eduardo
