2009 Endowed Teaching Chair recipients

I am pleased to announce the recipients of the 2009 Endowed Teaching Chairs. This program is one of the College's most important faculty recognitions and is entirely made possible by the generosity of our donors and the ongoing work of the MDC Foundation.

As much as any program at the College, the Endowed Teaching Chair reflects who we are as an institution. On a day-to-day basis, these professors accomplish the heart of MDC’s mission.

Please join me in congratulating the following six professors, who will join the list of 272 endowed chair recipients honored since the program's inception in 1992:

Christopher Rogers -  The Bank of America Endowed Teaching Chair
Michael Di Liddo - The Dr. Ruth Wolkowsky Greenfield Endowed Teaching Chair in Music
Alex Gancedo - The Peter Masiko Jr./Miami Jai Alai Endowed Teaching Chair
Gene Greco - The Spillis Candela & Partners Endowed Teaching Chair
Alina Coronel - South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union Endowed Teaching Chair
Richard Rose - The Sylvan E. Meyers Endowed Teaching Chair

I would like to offer special thanks to John Adkins, who served as the chair of the Endowed Teaching Chair Committee, and to all the committee members who spent innumerable hours reviewing faculty submissions and portfolios.

Thank you and congratulations to this year's Endowed Teaching Chairs.

Eduardo
