MDC receives CollegeKeys Compact 2010 Innovation Award for Learning Outcomes initiative

Since the official launch of the Learning Outcomes initiative in the fall of 2007, Miami Dade College has received significant praise for our groundbreaking approach to higher education. I am happy to announce that we recently received another accolade for our Learning Outcomes project: the CollegeKeys Compact 2010 Innovation Award.

Selected by the College Board, the Innovation Awards celebrate some of the nation's most powerful efforts to improve the academic success of students from low-income backgrounds. MDC is one of only three recipients in the region to receive this honor, and the College serves as a model for other institutions that wish to help more students successfully pursue a college education.

I would like to congratulate the entire College on this award, which is a testament to all the hard work our faculty and staff do to prepare MDC graduates for success and life-long learning. While we certainly have a long history of helping students from all backgrounds excel, this additional recognition confirms that we are accomplishing our mission to provide accessible education of the highest caliber.

Thank you.

Eduardo
