Remembering 9/11: A Decade Later
As we prepare to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11, we see that time has given us the proper space to reflect on and learn from the devastation that plagued our country as a result of the terrorist attacks. While we still feel the effects, the passage of time has, in essence, granted us fresh insight and fortitude to rebuild what has been broken physically and symbolically.
We remember the graphic coverage from Ground Zero, those who lost their lives, and those who helped restore a sense of hope. Ten years later, remembering can now signify our strength of spirit, perseverance and humanity.
At the end of this message, you will find a list of remembrance events that the College has planned at each campus to allow us to reflect collectively on the unalterable effects of 9/11 on American society and the world at large. This is a busy time of year, but I hope you will take a few moments to join us in commemorating this special anniversary.
Thank you.
Eduardo
