Admission Requirements

To be admitted to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program, applicants must:
- Complete the MDC Application for Admission (Note: Official transcripts, from institutions other than Miami Dade College, must be sent to the records department for evaluation at least 6 weeks prior to the deadline date for program application.)
- Submit a separate application to the B.S.N. program by the deadline. For Fall Admission the deadline is May 1 of every year, for Spring admission the deadline is September 1; $25 application fee required. Application will be available online; receipt for application fee and copy of BSN license must be provided to the Medical Center Campus New Student Center by the deadline.
- Have earned an A.S. degree in Nursing from an accredited college recognized by Miami Dade College
- An active license as a registered nurse (R.N.) in Florida
- Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative and nursing GPA
- A completed (level 2) background investigation and drug screening (fee required)
- Completion of the following required courses prior to formal admission in to the B.S.N. program: BSC2085, BSC2085L, BSC2086, BSC2086L, CHM1033, CHM1033L, MCB2010, MCB2010L, HUN1201, STA2023, PSY2012, SYG2000, DEP2000
