SAS Senior Meets Official of President Obama's Administration

Miami, March 5, 2015 - SAS Senior Anaie Almonor had the honor of meeting and talking with Claudia Gordon at the opening ceremony of "Weaving the Lives of Women" event held at Miami Dade College North Campus on March 5, 2015.  Ms. Gordon was on the White House staff under President Obama with a position in the White House Office of Public Engagement and was the first deaf African American attorney in history to work at the White House.

Ms. Gordon has since gone on to serve as the Chief of Staff at the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs in the U.S. Department of Labor. Ms. Gordon made a tremendous impression on Anaie and has motivated her to strive for the very best in her own career goals which now include medical school and a specialty in dermatology.
