Miami, January 30, 2017 - SAS Kendall Campus held its First Annual National English Honor Society Induction Ceremony on January 27, 2017. SAS Principal Dr. Omar Monteagudo attended the event and spoke about the importance of the English language in many skills needed in life. NEHS Sponsor Mary Seamans also spoke to the 33 students who were inducted this year and Mr. Coats was present to provide support for the ceremony.

The ceremony included a mix of juniors and seniors, as they received a certificate of membership, an identity card, and a white carnation (the NEHS symbol of distinction and truth). It was a brief and beautiful ceremony where the family of the inductees were invited to celebrate the achievement and recognition of their children in language arts.
