SAS North Students Hold Inaugural Pinning Ceremony

Miami, October 3, 2014 - On Friday, October 3, 2014, SAS North held its First Annual Pinning Ceremony. Returning SAS North seniors were matched up as mentors with a junior who began classes at SAS North just a few weeks ago. Each senior mentor then placed a SAS pin on their respective junior which signifies this new mentoring assistance.

The purpose of the ceremony is to assure that each new student at SAS has someone to turn to who can help them acclimate themselves to the challenges of student life on a college campus and the rigorous curriculum that is offered at SAS. SAS Principal Dr. Omar Monteagudo and SAS North Counselor Dr. Michael Townsel officiated at the ceremony and were assisted by SAS North teachers Mr. Budzyn, Ms. Larsen, and Dr. Mar.
