SAS West Also Has Musical Talent

SAS Musical Performance

Miami, April 25, 2017 - Dr. Terri Mitchell hosted the Jazz and Poetry Concert on 4/19/17 at MDC West. 3 SAS West students--Bryan Blancaflor, Laura Reyes, and Andrea Samper--worked with their MUL2380 (Jazz and Popular Music in America) professor from the beginning of the 2017 Spring Semester every Tuesday from 2:30-4 PM. They performed a total of three jazz songs-- "A Foggy Day," "Summertime," and "A Day in the Life of a Fool"-- in front of their fellow SAS classmates and West students. For many of the students, it was their first time improvising on their own in front of a large audience.
