SAS Kendall Student Gonzalo Crivelli is a Winner of Chamber South Essay Contest

Miami, March 4, 2013 - School for Advanced Studies (SAS) student Gonzalo Crivelli is one of two winners in the Chamber South 2013 Essay Contest. As a result, on April 3, 2013, Gonzalo and his mother Adriana, will be flying to Tallahassee on a charter flight with the Dade Delegation. This trip is in conjunction with Chamber South's Legislative Days on Capitol Hill.

Gonzalo will attend meetings with local legislators during this two-day event, along with touring the Old and New Capitol and the Florida Supreme Court. Gonzalo wrote about apathy among today's youth in his winning essay.

Gonzalo's Advanced Placment U.S. History teacher, Dr. Derrick Johnson, encouraged Gonzalo to enter the contest based on the quality of his writing skills and his thoughtful approach to social studies.
