SAS Receives Special Honors at February 2014 Model United Nations

Miami, February 22, 2014 - Twenty four students from School for Advanced Studies (SAS) North Campus participated in the Model United Nations held on Saturday, February 22, 2014. High schools from all over Miami-Dade County competed in this special event. SAS North students Mir Ahmed (Nigeria) won Best Delegate in the Security Council, Romeo Umana and Joseph Paulino won Best Position Paper (Venezuela) in the General Assembly, Troy Duffie received Honorable Mention (Mexico) for his position paper, and Fernando Melean won Honorable Mention as a Delegate (Nigeria).
