SAS Principal Dr. Omar Monteagudo and the SAS counselors met a group of 48 SAS students at 3:00 am Monday morning, November 3 to take a flight on Southwest Airlines to Raleigh, North Carolina to begin a tour of seven top tier universities.

The group will be touring the campuses of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Pennsylvania. After touring the Ivy League campus of Penn in Philadelphia on Friday morning, November 7, the SAS students will return to Miami. The students will have an opportunity to walk around each campus, have lunch or dinner in the student dining halls, visit dorm buildings, hear presentations by the admissions staff at each of the schools, and visualize themselves as future students at one or more of these top tier universities.
