Junior Santiago Tobar

Miami, May 26, 2015 - Santiago Tobar Potes, a junior at SAS Wolfson Campus, has been invited to the Hamilton Leaders Academy in Seattle, Washington as a result of his leadership qualities, community service, academic excellence, and financial need.

Only 36 high school students were selected for this special program from all over the country, and only two students from Miami were chosen. Both happen to be students at the School for Advanced Studies. Santiago will be joining his classmate from SAS Kendall (Juan Arciniegas) for this no-cost-to-student program that helps students get into college, transition to college, and succeed after they are in college.

Santiago will be spending a week in Seattle, Washington in the near future as part of the program in what they call "Leader Week. Later he will spend another week in a foreign country doing community service. All of these opportunities are "all expense paid" trips.

What a great opportunity for these outstanding young men!
