SAS Wolfson Juniors Attempt Rocket Launch Into Space

sas

Miami, March 11, 2016 - Adrian Ruiz and Sebastian Abisleiman, ambitious juniors at SAS Wolfson Campus, are attempting to launch a rocket into space in the near future. On their own!!!

If they succeed, they will be the first high school students to reach space and the first to record a 360° video from space.

They have devised a method that would carry a rocket and launchpad to 100,000 feet, where a rocket will launch from that platform in an attempt to pass the Karman Line (320,000 ft~60 miles), which is considered space.

Adrian and Sebastian are in the process of securing permission from the FAA for this project. If the FAA grants permission, they will attempt the launch in Spring of 2017. They have established a "Go fund me" page where they are accepting needed donations to make this project possible.
