SAS Wolfson Student Receives Two National Awards

Miami, June 5, 2013 - School for Advanced Studies Wolfson senior Rhina Lara has been selected as the state of Florida recipient for the 2013 National Honor Society Scholarship. There is just one winner each year in each of the 50 states in America and Lara is honored to have been selected for this very special award.

Rhina was also selected by the Annenberg Presidential Learning Center at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation in California for the National Student Leader Award due to her perseverance, drive and leadership while in high school. Rhina will major in Chemistry next fall at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Ms. Vivian De La Rosa, Rhina's counselor at SAS describes Rhina as one of the nicest students she has ever worked with. She says that Rhina is very deserving of these national awards. Everyone at SAS is very proud of this exceptional young lady and SAS Class of 2013 graduate.
