SAS FBLA Gives Back

Maria Acosta

Miami, December 12, 2014 - SAS junior Maria Acosta led a group of students belonging to the SAS FBLA Chapter to conduct a shoebox gift drive for the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child (OCC) ministry. They filled the shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, clothing, and hygiene products that will be delivered to girls and boys between the ages of 2 and 14 in "Third World" countries all over the world.

99 shoeboxes were put together in early November, 2014 by SAS students Charles Wardlow, Magda Gelves, Amanda Valino, Maria Acosta, Jennifer Lee, Emily Fernandez, Zeshan Aziz (who are part of the SAS FBLA chapter) and Kyle Rezek.

The shoeboxes are already on their way to the children overseas and will help bring hope and cheer to impoverished kids in many different countries.
