Miami, January 10, 2017 - SAS Kendall senior Shantelle Willock was named as a Posse Scholar for Syracuse University at a ceremony last week attended by MDCPS Superintendent Alberto Carvalho.  Shantelle is one of 10 students from the Miami area who have formed a "Posse" that will be attending Syracuse. They will meet on a regular basis for the remainder of their senior year and continue to meet while attending Syracuse to support each other in their academic and social life. The Posse scholarship awarded to Shantelle is valued at a quarter of a million dollars.

Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
