Special Recognition for Select Seniors in the SAS Class of 2017

Miami, September 19, 2016 - SAS Proudly Announces its 2017 National Merit Semifinalists, Commended Scholars and National Hispanic Scholars.

School for Advanced Studies Class of 2017 seniors who have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists for their outstanding PSAT scores taken last October are: David Fernandez, Miriam Lee, Katherine Abbott, Nicholas Tateo, Ivan Shestopalov, Michael Dorsey, and Tamara Gomez-Ortigoza.

The 2017 SAS Commended Scholars are Carlos Sandoval, Chloe Tenn, Marthena Phan, Alexis Diaz, Daniel Quintero, Camila Basora, Pierce Elliott, Toren Moscone, Cade Guerra, and James Leng.

The SAS 2017 National Hispanic Scholars are Marcus Moran-Naun, Jeffrey Rodriguez, David Fernandez, Toren Moscone, Ricardo Torres, Daniel Castro, Katherine Abbott, Carolina Carriella, Daniel Quintero, Nicholas Tateo, Alexis Diaz, Camila Basora, Carlos Sandoval, Alexia Vignau, Tamara Gomez-Ortigoza, Debora Gonzalez, Cade Guerra, and Michael Vidal.
