SAS Students Spend Day with Cerebral Palsy Patients

Miami, March 2, 2015 - The SAS Kendall K.I.D.S Club visited the Golden Glades Special Medical Facility for individuals with cerebral palsy on February 27, 2015. The SAS club members spent the day interacting with the residents at the center and they hope to continue their involvement with the center for years to come. The SAS students helped the residents organize their rooms, played piano and sang songs for the residents during their time at the facility. There are 17 residents in the center and each one requires around the clock care. Some of the patients are even on ventilators. The SAS Kendall K.I.D.S. club is sponsored by Ms. Samay Alvarez. SAS is very proud of the courage and heart demonstrated by this visit. It confirms the special nature that many of the students and staff possess at SAS.
