SAS Students Participate in Columbia University 'Girls in STEM Miami' Seminar

Miami, August 7, 2017 - Several young ladies from the School for Advanced Studies participated in the Columbia University "Girls in STEM Miami" week long all day workshops held at Hard Rock Stadium from Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4, 2017.

Emyly Ayala-Galeano, Stephanie Gudiel, Shirin Taee, Rashel Amador, Isabella Davila, Sandra Garcia, Dianelis Lopez, Yinkei Demaqua, Cynthia Hernandez, Gabriel Evins, and Sephara Pierre were the SAS students who attended. The young ladies had the opportunity for experiential activities taught by university professors from one of the Ivy League institutions. Columbia University holds several of these week long seminars in various cities across America each summer.
