SAS North Model UN Team Prospers at Competition

Miami, February 17, 2017 - The SAS-North Model UN Team competed and prospered at the annual Miami Dade College United Nations conference held on February 10 and 11, 2017 at MDC North Campus. The delegation of Spain, represented by Matthew Block and Jason Dulberg, was awarded the best delegation award in the World Health Organization. The delegation of Colombia-represented by Lauren Paulet and Javier Lammoglia-and the delegation of China-represented by Mauricio - were also awarded honorable mention awards in the World Health Organization Committee.

In the General Assembly, Donovan Bonilla and Paula Garranchan-representing the delegation of Croatia-were also awarded Honorable Mention. Christina De Solo and Naomi Migoya were awarded Honorable Mention in the UN Women committee, representing the delegation of Croatia. Also in the UN Women committee, Ashley and Marlika won best position paper representing the delegation of Spain.

Triniti Wade, Melany Hernandez, Daniela Delphis, and Yvenide Belizaire also participated but are not in the photograph.

The SAS North Model UN Team is sponsored by Dr. Michele Mar and was very proud of her students who competed. Stories about the AAA North and AAA South team sponsored by Dr. Arabpour and Mr. Burkowski are posted on the AAA website.
