Seniors from SAS at WISE Program at MIT

Miami, September 2, 2014 - School for Advanced Studies (SAS) seniors Justin Shillingford and Johanna Smith-Palliser have been selected for the MIT Weekend Immersion in Science & Engineering (WISE), which will take place next month at MIT in Boston, Massachusetts.

MIT will fly Justin and Johanna up to its campus in Boston where they will have a chance to attend MIT classes, tour the campus, meet with professors, visit labs, stay with a current MIT student, and attend workshops that will give them a glimpse of what life at MIT is really like. All expenses are covered by MIT.

Congratulations to Justin and Johanna are in order since this program is only offered to high level academic students who are good candidates for admission to MIT.

Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
