Top Universities Seek SAS Wolfson Senior

Alaisha Alexander

Miami, September 24, 2013 - Alaisha Alexander, a senior at SAS Wolfson Campus, will be enjoying an all expense paid trip to New York City (NYC) October 13-15 to participate in the "Columbia Engineering Experience (CE²)" program. Columbia is one of eight Ivy League schools and offers this experience to just a few select high school seniors from around the world each year. Alaisha was also selected by MIT for a similar all expense paid trip to Boston. She returns from that trip today.

Students such as Alaisha who are admitted to CE², have the opportunity to meet members of the Columbia faculty and visit their world-class research centers as well as take a behind the scenes tour of a leading engineering firm in NYC. Past attendees have visited Google and Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Alaisha's airfare and all other expenses will be covered by Columbia and she will stay on campus with a current undergraduate Columbia student and take a tour of NYC. Alaisha will also meet with Dean of Undergraduate Admissions Jessica Marinaccio since Columbia will want her to attend their school after she graduates from SAS.
