Application Process
School for Advanced Studies Steps to Admission
- 1. Complete an SAS application and an MDC application; sign the Agreement of Understanding. Submit all three to the SAS site you hope to attend.
You must also bring two (2) proofs of Florida residency. These could be a driver's license and car registration (see list on last page of MDC application). - 2. Take the Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT)
- Miami Dade College will issue a college ID number, which you will take along with two picture IDs to the campus testing facility in order to proceed with the PERT.
- You will have up to three attempts to achieve a passing score in each section:
- Math = 123
- Reading = 104
- Writing = 99

Call the SAS campus to which you have applied to report your test scoresAlternative to the PERT

or - FCAT passing scores (Reading Level 4 or 5; Math Level 5)

- After meeting all criteria, we will contact you to schedule an Intake Session.
