About the School of Science

The School of Science offers a variety of degree and certificate programs with concentrations in the natural sciences, biotechnology and landscape & horticulture technology, including a bachelor in science in biological sciences expressly designed to meet industry needs.

A focus on hands-on experience ensures that you acquire practical skills as well as classroom knowledge. In addition, many of these certificates and degrees build upon each other, offering a wealth of opportunities that open doors to discovery and allow you to grow and advance in your career.

The Associate in Arts degree with programs of study in the natural sciences provides the first two years of a four-year curriculum for students planning to major in  the biological or physical sciences as well as those wishing to enter professional schools in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, optometry or podiatry.

Our Mission

Miami Dade College School of Science is committed to providing our diverse student population with high quality and innovative learning experiences that prepare them to question, investigate, and formulate conclusions about the natural world.
