ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Miami Dade College and the National Science Foundation are offering scholarships with a maximum amount of $5,000 per academic year to students with unmet financial need (as established by federal guidelines) pursuing degrees in the biological sciences, physical sciences, mathematics, computer and information sciences, geosciences, and engineering.
The National Science Foundation (NSF), established in 1950, promotes and advances scientific progress in the United States. ELIGIBILITY
To be considered for this program, students must:
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above
- Be eligible for federal financial aid
- Be a United States citizen, permanent resident, national or alien admitted as a refugee at the time of application
- Be majoring in the biological sciences (excluding medicine and other clinical fields), physical sciences, mathematics, computer and information sciences, geosciences, or engineering
- Be enrolled full time (12 credits per major term)
- Be exempt from or have completed college preparatory courses at the time of application
Students must submit a completed application packet prior to the application deadline.
