ART CAMPS

Art Portfolio & Color Camp (Grades 7-8) -$185
Pre-requisite: Familiarity with drawing. Learn advanced drawing skills geared to students who are about to transition to high school. Students will be introduced to the different color relationships, color mixing and layering techniques, and the steps for planning a painted composition. For the students interested in creating portfolios for magnet schools, they may bring in their work at the beginning of the session to be analyzed and used during the two weeks of classes to fill in any gaps in their skills. Judging Criteria for portfolios includes: principals of design, composition, color theory, idea generation, technique, drawing from observation, figure drawing, drawing using perspective, organization, and presentation. Camp Wannadraw: Fine Arts & Crafts Summer Camp (Grades 6-12) -$185
Youth will enhance their creativity and artistic skills by working with different artistic media. Students will have the chance to work with clay, acrylic paint, charcoal, pencil, watercolor, plaster, and printing! They will learn how to use these materials while expressing their original creativity by choosing their own subject matter. This camp is located at Hammocks Middle School.

KIDS/TEEN COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAM 

An educational and fun environment where kids, teens and parents can customize their schedule and choose the classes they like most! Kids and teens can attend morning or afternoon, or spend the entire day. If a student is spending the day at the college and is not registered for " Kids/Teen College Lunch ", please have them bring a bagged lunch.

Our program includes "Before and After Care" in a safe and fun environment.  Drop off is as early as 7:30 a.m. - Pick up is as late as 6:00 p.m. for students taking classes both in morning and afternoon.  Students taking only a morning class may be dropped off at 7:30 a.m. and picked up by 1:00 p.m. Students taking only an afternoon class, may be dropped off at Noon and picked up by 6:00 p.m.  Afternoon snack is provided at the end of the afternoon session.  **$1.00 per minute will be charged for students picked up after 6:00 pm**.  Drop-off and pickup is at building 8, room 8122.  For more information, please call 305-237-2976 or visit: http://www.mdc.edu/ce/kendall/kidsteencollege/

MUSIC CAMPS

Latin Jazz Experience - (Grades 6-12) Summer Camp- $185

Sunblazer Soccer Camp

This camp will provide a safe and fun environment with focus on technique. Each day will emphasize a specific theme which will work on strengthening the "Five Basics of Soccer" - passing, dribbling, receiving, finishing and heading. Small and full sided games will be played each day. Drop off time is 8:00 am

Montana Tennis Academy Summer Camp

The experienced staff incorporates a variety of age and skill-appropriate instructional methods to help students develop their fundamentals and enjoyment of the game. Camp runs rain or shine. Full day campers can bring their lunch or purchase in campus cafeteria. Drop off time: 8:30 am by the Kendall Campus Tennis Courts.
