ART CAMPS

Performing Arts Camp (Ages 6-12) -$255
Program will focus on the performing arts, while exploring other creative activities such as Crafts, Make-Up, Costuming, and Arts History. We will introduce your child to various dance styles such as Ballet, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Belly Dance; as well as Voice, Acting, and Modeling. Breakfast, lunch and mid-day snack are included. Drop-off at the Gym, Building 400.

Teen Art Camp (Ages 12-17) - $255
Start building your art portfolio now! Register for this hands-on art camp and learn about studio drawing and different drawing concepts. Each student will complete work in charcoal drawing, canvas acrylic painting, and multi-media. Students will put together a closing art show for family and friends to share their projects in our Art Gallery on North Campus for their culminating project. Limited space available! Drop-off at the Gym, Building 400.

KIDSCENE CAMP

This camp is offered during nine weeks, and depending on the week you select the student will participate in an Environmental, Sports & Fitness, or Theatre Arts & Dance Camp. Parents must complete a student packet before the first day of camp.  Packets can be picked up at one of the Summer Orientations on Wednesday, April 11th at 6:30pm in room 2151, Wednesday, May 16th at 6:30pm in room 2151 or in the Continuing Education office in room 1125. Breakfast, lunch and mid-day snack are included. Drop-off at the Gym, Building 400.

Register students for one week, or select one of the three weeks clusters and save!

Students will use our unique LEGO® kits to build a variety of battling machines. This is a class of exploration, problem solving, and risk-taking with a goal of learning and experimenting with how machines work and compete. Students will learn a variety of concepts throughout this class, including basic engineering principles, gearing and gear ratios, electric motors and energy, problem solving, and communication skills. Elementary Junior Music Camp (Ages 8-11) - $225
This program is for youth who wants to learn a musical instrument or enhance their current skills in music. Students will receive instruction from professional musicians and educators in Music Theory, Musical Theatre, Piano, Chorus, and other interactive music classes. This camp is ideal for the individual interested in pursuing careers in music and entertainment. Students will have the opportunity to work in MDC’s new state of the art recording studio to compose, record, and produce their own music, songs, choreographed dance, and video.
