Cambridge Michigan Language Assessments (CaMLA)

CaMLA tests are used for a variety of purposes in different countries. The tests offered at MDC are the following:

  • MELAB - To apply to colleges and universities where English is the medium of instruction.
  • MET - To document level of proficiency in English ranging from CEFR level A2 to C1 for educational or employment purposes, typically outside the United States and Canada.

Note: The ECCE, ECPE, and YLTE are not offered at MDC.

For more information visit the CaMLA website.

Retest Procedure:

You may take the MET as many times as you want, but our recommendation is that you allow for eight weeks of language study between each attempt.
The MELAB exam does not have any retest procedures.
