Six Students Awarded To Study Abroad in China

Six Miami Dade College students were awarded the Confucius Institute Scholarship, an opportunity to study abroad in China.
The one-year scholarship includes full tuition, room and board, and living expenses. Students will attend Xuzhou Normal University, MDC’s sister university in China, and study Mandarin, Chinese culture, and other related areas of study.
“These students were awarded the most prestigious award the school offers,” said Jim Yu, Confucius Institute Director at MDC. “I’m very proud of our students for this incredible achievement.”
Scholarship awardees include: Yaacov Moshe of InterAmerican Campus, and Sean O’Connell, Dayvis Cortes, Nicolas Lucas Gallo, Alejandro Gustavo Mendez, and Ernesto Monge, all from Wolfson Campus.
