MIAMI: OCCUPIED

What started on Sept. 17 on Wall Street in New York City has now spread to a global movement advocating social, political and financial reform. The Occupy Miami movement kicked off on Oct. 15 with demonstrations in front of Bayfront Park, 301 North Biscayne Boulevard, before most members moved to the Stephen P. Clark Government Center, 150 NW 1 Street. While some demonstrations in other locations have turned bloody due to frustrations between protesters and police, the Occupy Miami movement has maintained its status as a peaceful protest
