The Miami Dade College student organizations GetEQUAL, SWER and If Not Now, When? will unite to host a community event to educate the public on equal rights. The event, Out for Equality, will take place on Nov. 30 at Kendall Campus, 11011 SW 104th St., Room K413.
The public forum will discuss and provide solutions to injustices minorities face on a daily basis.
Felipe Matos from Presente.org and Juan Rodriguez from the Florida Immigrant Coalition will speak, along with representatives of other equal rights organizations.
“We are identifying not just as members of the LGBTQ or undocumented communities, but as individuals committed to the active and involved pursuit of equality and human rights,” said Catarina Victoria de Quesada, the Florida state lead for GetEQUAL.
