Miami Dade College Accreditation Approved
A warning levied against Miami Dade College by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools for not have an acceptable number of full-time faculty has been lifted.
The warning, lasting six months, was for failure to comply with Core Requirement 2.8 of the Principles of Accreditation. The standard expects an institution to show that it has an adequate number of full-time faculty members to support the mission of the institution.
In December, “After MDC gave additional information about full-time faculty, the warning was removed,” said Belle S. Wheelan, President of SACS. “This does not change its accreditation.”
