The Miami Dade College women’s basketball team is hoping improved chemistry and a new crop of freshmen and transfers will help them win a Southern Conference title.
The Lady Sharks will play Florida State College at Jacksonville in the first round of the Florida College System Activities State Tournament.
The men’s basketball season begins on Nov. 3 and with a new roster, the Sharks hope to improve from last season’s 7-21 performance.
Assistant coach Jim Mansilla gives players the opportunity to play baseball for Miami Dade or at another university through a league at North Campus.
Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
