MDC Live Arts will be presenting Yemen Blues, a multicultural band from Tel Aviv.
This nine piece ensemble combines African rhythms, funk, blues and other styles from various countries to create energetic and diverse sounds.
The performance will take place on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 9pm at Grand Central in Downtown Miami, 697 N Miami Ave.
Ravid Kahalani, the lead singer, adds to the diversity by singing in several languages including Yemeni Arabic, Hebrew and Haitian Creole.
“They’re a huge party,” says Kathryn Garcia Miami Dade College Live Arts executive director.
Tickets can be purchased for $25 or $10 with MDC student I.D at the door, online at MDCLiveArts.org, or at the Freedom Tower at Wolfson Campus, 600 Biscayne Blvd., 6th Floor.
