Coach Benoit Leads The Lady Sharks Attack

Name: Origenes “Kiko” Benoit

Position: Head Coach

From:  Dominican Republic

Education: Earned a bachelor’s degree in general education from Columbia College of Missouri; obtained an associate degree from MDC in 2002; a 1990 graduate of American Senior High School.

Coaching Career: Has been the Lady Sharks head volleyball coach since 2005. Before taking over as head coach, Benoit served as an assistant for 10 years to legendary volleyball coach Ilida Medero at MDC.

Accolades: Eight-time Southern Conference coach of the year; six-time state coach of the year; two-time American Volleyball Coaches Association Northeast—Southeast Region Coach of the Year; eight Southern Conference Championships; six state championships; two-time runner-up at the National Junior College Athletic Association National Championship Tournament.
