Students, Faculty & Staff using MAC OSX 10 systems should use the following steps to access ANGEL. ALL items must be complete for Angel to work on Mac OSX 10.

ANGEL Requirements for Mac Users:

  1. Use the FireFox Browser
    (http://www.firefox.com)
    Although you will be able to view ANGEL Courses using Safari or Omni Web browsers, you will have difficulty using certain ANGEL features such as the HTML Editor.
  2. Browser Setup:
    MUST allow cookies
    Select Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies
    Make sure the checkbox to accept cookies is checked.
    MUST allow Java & JavaScript From the main menu
  3. MUST allow Java & JavaScript
    From the main menu, select Firefox > Preferences > Web  Features
    Make sure Java is checked
  4. MUST allow popups
    From the main menu, select Firefox > Preferences > Web  Features
    Either uncheck pop-up blockers, or add ANGEL (mdc.angellearning.com) to the allowed sites.Before accessing ANGEL, please have the latest java installed on your Mac: http:www.java.com
  5. Before accessing ANGEL, please install this plug-in on your Mac: Java Embedding Plugin for MacOSX.
    This will allow you to use chat, the whiteboard, and the learner profile options.

Printing

If you are having difficulty printing, please follow these instructions:

  1. Click the Print link
  2. Switch from Copies & Pages Settings to FireFox
  3. Under Frames, choose to print 'Each frame separately'
  4. Click Print
