Student Life

The mission of the Student Life Department at each of our campuses is to develop and implement services and activities that will help students achieve academic success and enhance their personal development, as well as offer opportunities for cultural enrichment and community involvement.

The Student Life Department is where you can obtain your student I.D. card (MDID), parking decals, applications for student organizations, activities calendars, intramurals, student insurance applications and Students Rights and Responsibilities Handbooks.

Many of our campuses house an activities center within the Student Life Department, which offers an array of games and activities available for students’ enjoyment in between classes. Visit the center to play billiards, ping pong, board games, cards, dominoes or chess. Students may also do school work, watch television, listen to music or read magazines. Some of our departments may offer quiet study areas and conference rooms on reserve for private study and group meetings.

Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
