Student Programming

studentprogrammingFunds are allocated to different on-campus clubs and organizations to host live shows, book guest speakers and travel to seminars and conferences. This promotes involvement from the student body with the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and activities.  “Activity Hour” is scheduled every Wednesday from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM at each campus, showcasing some of the events below:

  • Cultural Events: Programs that focus on arts, music, and ethnic/cultural celebrations.
  • Forum Events: These events are lectures on topics that consist of diversity, leadership skills, academic enhancement, or current events going on in the world. There are inspirational and motivational events as well.
  • Entertainment/Recreation Events: Programs that provide students an opportunity to unwind between classes by participating in an activity like a trivia game show or a Rockband competition.
  • Awareness Events: Provides accurate information to students regarding social and health issues as well as preventive measures.

Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
