Miami, October 31, 2013 - Recently voted as a top Military Friendly School for 2013, Miami Dade College (MDC) will host its first-ever Veterans College and Resource Expo on Saturday, Nov. 16, 9 a.m. – noon at the North Campus Science Complex. In collaboration with over a dozen community organizations, the Expo will feature information pavilions focusing on a variety of services specifically designed to provide a complete spectrum of support. This event is free and open to the public!

Information for veterans and their families will be available in the areas of education, workforce training, financial resources, family support, health services and career resources. There will also be a Kids Corner. 

Organizations that will be represented at the Expo include: South Florida Workforce’s Mobile Unit, Miami VA Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Miami Dade Veterans Services Program, American Veterans Alliance #29, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Legal Services of Greater Miami, Operation, Homefront, Navy Federal Credit Union, Miami Vet Center, Navy Federal Credit Union, Veteran’s Link-up, Resume Workshops and Flu Shots.
