$5000 IFSA SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY ABROAD (Spring 2009) |

(Semester-long Study Abroad) Application Deadline: October 1, 2008 The IFSA Foundation scholarship aims to expand the opportunities for MDC students to engage in semester-long academic programs abroad and to infuse service-learning into the students’ study abroad experience. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
US Citizen or US Resident
MDC Degree-seeking student
Pell grant recipient at the time of application
2.5 GPA minimum
No previous long-term study abroad experience
Applying for or accepted into a semester-long MDC-approved study abroad program in Africa, Latin America, Asia, or Eastern Europe
At least one full semester or 12 credits at MDC completed prior to beginning the study abroad experience.
Must have completed ENC 1101
Must be intending to enroll at MDC the semester following his/her study abroad experience
Scholarship is for study abroad students only
