Chinese Culture Clubs
Chinese Culture Clubs at MDC
Always wanted to learn about China, its culture, its past-times but never had the chance to? This is your opportunity!
The Chinese Culture Club at Miami Dade College is students’ weekly portal to Chinese traditional arts and culture. Whether the meeting is at the Confucius Institute or at one of Miami Dade’s campuses offering Chinese language courses, the Club brings faculty and students together for an afternoon of games, films, arts and crafts, calligraphy, reading, singing, story–telling, performing arts or anything fun which members and guests would like to explore.
Our meetings have an open–format so your programming ideasand imagination lead the way! We have ample resources for you: games, tools to do arts and crafts, the skills of our faculty in performing arts, manual crafts and calligraphy and a wide collection of films and books to choose from in any genre. All we need to start the fun is your input and creativity.
You may come and take the lead by selecting Chinese films to watch or learn to play new games, and crafts with our faculty’s free demos and guided tutorials.
Our meetings are casual and open to all who want to have an enriching afternoon of learning about China and its past–times with faculty and friends in a relaxed setting.
Come join us! For more information on meeting times, please contact any of our campus coordinators below and let the fun and learning begin!
