About Confucius Institute

Established in April, 2010 as a cooperative partnership between Miami Dade College (MDC), the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) and Xuzhou Normal University (XNU) in China, Confucius Institute at Miami Dade College (CI–MDC) is committed to:

  • Providing academic programs of Chinese language and culture to our college students, our local K–12 schools, and the South Florida community.
  • Providing cultural programming to support our academic and community outreach programs.
  • Promoting educational exchange and cooperation between south Florida and China, and enhancing international education and global citizenship in our community.
  • Facilitating business education involving China

As a most dynamic and innovative Confucius Institute at the largest higher education institution in the USA, CI–MDC aims to be a bridge connecting South Florida, China, Latin America, and the world.
