Chinese Bridge Summer Camp

Each year, the Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban in China sponsors the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp for United States High School Students. For the length of two-weeks in July, American students, ages 14-18, have a first-hand experience of Chinese language, culture, and society. Interactive camp activities include language learning, cultural programs, field-trips to historical sites, sightseeing, visits to host families, shopping, and interaction with Chinese students of their age group.

Students and chaperone teachers interested in this program need not have acquired their Chinese language skills through Miami Dade College, but do need sponsorship from our institute in order to apply. So in principle, anyone in the community who qualifies can apply as long as we sponsor them!

For more information about this Summer Camp opportunity for high school students and their chaperone teachers please visit the official site and contact our director, Dr Jim Yu for the application procedures and sponsorship details.
