CLACI Initiatives / Events for Next Spring

  • A Conversation with United States Assistant Secretary for Economic Affairs, Jose Fernandez. Fernandez will discuss Economic Affairs in Latin America.

  • An Opera event featuring singers from Teatro Colón from Argentina. The event will have as many as 120 prominent guests and is organized in collaboration with the Office for International Education at Miami Dade College, the Council of the Americas and the Office of the Mayor.

  • A Conference on Access to Education featuring two Secretaries of Education from Latin America. The event is organized in collaboration with the Council of the Americas and the Office of the Mayor.

  • A conversation on France / Latin America Relations and Canada / Latin American relations featuring two distinguished diplomats from the French and Canadian diplomacy.

  • A seminar discussing the coverage of Latinos and Latin America in the American media. The event will feature two prominent Hispanic Affairs Journalists, one from the Associated Press and the other from NPR.
