Future Directions/Presentations The Advisory Committee agreed that it was Request from the Community in the Institute’s mission to explore Lt. Ballester’s request to provide ethics activities for the Miami Dade Fire Rescue Department. Professor Robert Jorge stated there is a great need for ethics in the field. Furthermore, there is very little ethics content in the EMS Curriculums. Dr. Goodman and Professor Jorge volunteered to explore strategies with their contacts in the Fire Department and Department of Transportation.

Student essay contest Professor Dundorf suggested that the web site be used to promote a student ethics essay contest. The student would be invited to participate in the Advisory meetings and the student would be nominated for the committee. Tuition waivers would be explored. Professor Dundorf agreed to draft a proposal for the Committee Organ Procurement Mr. Rob Taukus volunteered to present workshops for the College. Dr. Petrozella will work with him on this project.

Next meeting Proposed next meeting for June if needed to plan for an EMS activity. If not, the next meeting will be a luncheon meeting in the Fall on a Wednesday.

Respectfully Submitted,

Carol Petrozella,
