Registered Nursing (Associate in Science)

Generic Option

The Generic Nursing option is designed to prepare students without previous health care education for a career as Registered Nurse. Students may begin the full-time and part-time Generic Nursing Option in August or January. The application deadline for Fall term is May 1st. The application deadline for Spring term is September 1st.

Full time courses are generaly taught during the day, part-time courses are generaly taught evening and weekends. The part-time track is convenient for those students who prefer to work while attending classes.

A total of 72 credits is required for an Associate in Science degree, of which 42 consist of the nursing credits in the nursing curriculum. This program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON). Graduates are eligible to apply to write the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
