  Registration & Forms

Each individual student is responsible for contacting the Access office and requesting services on a semester basis as needed. Students should contact the office at least two weeks prior to the start of classes to help ensure that the requested accommodations are available by the start of the first class meeting time. It is crucial that students plan ahead. Since accomodations need to be coordinated with time and not available on demand. All requests for special accommodations must be reasonable. The Director of ACCESS Services will meet with each disabled student to discuss the student’s needs and the college’s reasonable accommodation.

If a student suspects that they have a disability or just needs to talk about a special need we can provide you with information to help you to get evaluated. The ACCESS Services office can refer you to local agencies for assistance.

At your first meeting or appointment with the ACCESS Services office you will be asked to complete a few forms to register with the office.

Once you have met with the ACCESS Services office, and have completed the necessary forms and disability documentation is received you are then eligible for services. We will inform your academic department/program and any faculty and staff of the necessary class or campus accommodation.
