The New Student Center is where students who are new to Miami Dade College can obtain overall information on the College and Campus regardless of their educational goals. The goal of the Center is to assess the students’ needs and interests and provide them with the preliminary information and guidance that will help them succeed. Students will receive information regarding admission,financial aid,testing, and program and/or career options.

Finding your way around MDC.
Regardless of where you are taking classes, it’s easy to find room numbers if you just follow this guide. All buildings are numbered. The first number is always the building number; the second number is always the floor and the other numbers (one or two digits are the room number. So, if you were looking for Room 1201, you would go to the Building 1, second floor, and then find Room 1201. It’s that simple.

How to Apply?
1.- Complete the College Application in person or mail it to:

2.- Submit Official transcripts from High School and/or any college or university previously attended. Foreign transcripts must be translated into English before being submitted for evaluation.
3.- Once you have been admitted, make an appoinment on any campus to take the CPT (Computarized Placement Test), which is an entry- level assessment test.
4.- Make an appoinment to see an advisor.
5.- Attend an information session or talk to an advisor about a nursing or allied health program you are interested in pursuing as a career.
